Carriage Service Provider Acceptable Use Policy
This acceptable use policy template sets out standard terms for carriage service providers. It lists prohibited uses of the service by ny end users and addresses technical measures used by carriage service providers to guard against unauthorised use and access of its services, networks and systems by third parties.
How this document can help you
Carriage service providers (CSP) should ensure that customers are bound by contractual obligations to use services only for lawful purposes. Our template includes standard acceptable usage provisions which require users to use carriage service providers' equipment and services without breaching any law or the legal rights of any person.
What it includes
Among other things, our Carriage Service Provider Acceptable Use Policy Template (AUP) includes:
A list of circumstances which constitute breach of the AUP including the prohibition of use of the CSP’s telecommunications equipment or services to carry out security breaches or disruptions of network communication and any act that is in breach of any applicable laws and any other applicable data protection and/or privacy laws (such as the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679;
- Provisions requiring the user to notify the CSP if the user becomes aware of any breach of the AUP.
- Information regarding what will occur if the AUP is breached.
- Details of the CSP's designated representative for the purposes of subsection 116AH(1) of the Copyright Act.
